2019 TxLN Nurse Educator Scholarship Recipients
Texas League for Nursing would like to congratulate Jennifer Roye and Nicole Ranney as the 2019 Recipients of the TxLN Nurse Educator Scholarship. Both are doctoral students exploring topics in nursing education! Congratulations!
Jennifer Roye is currently employed at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Nursing and Health Innovation, Arlington, Texas. Her nursing background includes staff nurse, charge nurse, and certified pediatric nurse practitioner. Currently, she works as the Assistant Dean of Simulation and Technology and Lead Teacher of Nursing Care of Children and Adolescents/ Clinical Professor at UTA. Ms. Roye is enrolled in an EdD in Instructional Leadership, the University of Alabama with a projected completion date of Spring 2022. She holds a 4.0 GPA and has completed 24 hours. Ms. Roye is a current member of TxLN.
Nicole Ranney is currently employed at Galen College of Nursing- San Antonio campus as a theory and clinical instructor. Her nursing background includes clinical instructor at a community college. Ms. Ranney is enrolled in the DNP program at American Sentinel University with a focus on Educational Leadership. Her project is focused on the use of simulation as a learning activity within vocational nursing programs. She holds a 3.83 GPA and has completed 18 credit hours. Mrs. Ranney is a current member of TxLN.
